Highlighted Events

Impact Week

The first Russell: A Place of Promise impact report was released in April of 2021 to showcase the impact of the project up until that point. The 2018-2021 RPOP Impact Report details its history, successes, challenges, and goals and highlights the people and organizations that have paved the way. Special emphasis is placed on the people and places that continue to make the Russell community special and allow RPOP to expand.

Ujamaa Workbook Release Party

The Ujamaa Workbook was co-created by Play Cousins Collective and RPOP to engage Black children and families in activities around generational wealth building! Go on a journey with Harmony as she learns about community building and cooperative economics - saving money, Black inventors, gardening and MORE from her village! Download a FREE digital version here!

Canvassing

Led by Jackie Floyd, Russell resident and RPOP Lead Community Outreach Specialist, the RPOP Outreach Team canvasses the Russell community twice a week! Russell residents and organizations are always welcome to join these casual outings as we build community with our neighbors and connect them to community resources, programs, and events.
